Thanks Razor,

Yes it teleports from one place to another. Going to reverse the effect so it comes down at the other end. Anything else u think i should add to the beam?

Ben,

Im curious does that script brighten the whole screen if ur looking at it or not?

Like the voice!!!

Hi there,

I think that it looks more like sort of his soul going up. Cheesy
Seriously now, I think that the effect might be much improved if you just had a fixed light appear above target, the parallel lines effect from the beam, the guy dissapears, and then the fixed light dissapears.

About the goauld voice, software edition can accomplish that, but a good Sound Blaster card really does the trick, and with quality. Those of you who have this card, can find cool effects on the EAX control panel (I think that's name). I can be done through microphone input or just with a recorded file. Smiley

Cheers

Well, I never really thought of that one, but I just tried it, and yes it does. It is done only with the editor. I just started playing with it one day and I accidently found out how to do that. I use it mostly when making big explosions mixed with outside scripts. It looks pretty good if it's done right. The nice thing about it is there are no outside scripts if used alone.

Thank you.

video is well cool how did you get the voice in the 2nd one
You can use just about any sound program, I would imagine, and just play with it. I've had a lot experience with sound growing up, and have a lot of hardware that's connected to my pc. I usually make my own sound effects for things when I get a chance. If you have any sound files that you want converted to make a mission I can. It only takes about 1 min or so. Cheers!

Can you make a cool sound pack that has Jaffa, Goa'uld, Tok'ra, and monster sounds? That would be cool! What do you need?

Yes. I can make a sound pack, but I would like for the community to come up with the quotes, or phrases. I know what I'd like to hear, but I don't know what you all would like to hear. I would say start a new thread on it and only post new phrases or words that you would like to hear. I'll do all of them...I don't mind at all. Hey it's something I can do LOL. If you want to use your own voice I'll change it for you. It's up to you all. I'll make a mini movie using my own voice to show how many different ways it can be done. I'll post it this weekend along with my help pack for the really newest members to the OFP/Stargate world. My help pack is simple, and small. It might not be the best there is, but I think it'll pass for better than fair. I'll PM those who need help as soon as it's posted.

Cheers!

Wow theres a lot of different views for the Asguard beam...decisions decisions... Anyone have a video of the beam, from farther away?

Will defintely try to add the little particle lines in there though! Maybe i can take the beam light from going up and just make it a stationary beam of light thats bigger.....

I really like the way you have it started right now with the light going up. It looks just like the series. I hope you don't change that part of it. Adding the little lines is a good idea. I have the whole series, but I don't have a way to put it on the net for you. Sorry about that.

I'll see if I can find one. I have all of the series and I can post them. If you know which episode just let me know, and I'll get it faster. I don't remember which ones have the best one to use, but I'll look.

Could you use screen shots from either series to make them, or do you need the actual texture format? Also what faces are you going to make? Later yo!
