I believe thats ArmA preprocessing, depth of view to the camera.

Heres a better overview of the DHD functions:

ITER was originally an acronym for International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor, but that title was dropped due to the negative popular connotation of "thermonuclear", especially when in conjunction with "experimental".

Arrr, true... I forgot about that... I never seem to catch that in pics though. Or it might just be that I need to get some glasses, lol.

The programming is still being revised to iron all possible bugs, due to the complexity and scope of the stuff being done. Be patient... release might be sort of close, but the code needs to be 99% bug-proof, as it will be the foundation for future addons.

Cheers

Yes, as we found with the 1.3 - 1.4 release. If we don't set the standard the in the first release then developers have major difficulties later on if we have to change the code (i.e. it stops missions from working, etc).

In the video when you start dialing then halt mid dial for a second can anyone else pickup the dialing or does it have to be the player?

Anyone.

The entrie premise of doing it that was was that if we're trying to get back to our base and I get killed mid-dial, you can complete the sequence from where I left off.

Master Bra'tac beat Apophis in a game of chess. Using Mr Bun the Baker.

When Master Bra'tac fell from above and failed to learn to fly on the way down, Hannor Mir still became a street pizza.

Happy easter everyone!

As a purely map-based kind of guy, there's not really that much I can really say with regards to a release date, but having seen the new gates, I can honestly say they look stunning. The new glyph system should make things a lot easier for anyone who's been struggling with scripting the old gates.

Multi-player testing is in progress, I'd love to say that means a release should be soon, but it's not my place.

However, I am very excited. It's possibly due to all that chocolate.

I guess you'd still be able to call functions and initialize objects as it was done before, but I doubt if old missions would still work due to the heavy changes being made, being a probability that you'd have to change function calls, so it'd be easier to use the new system anyways, believe me, it's much much easier and timesaving.
