That "crap" as you put it IS the latest version of the gates.
Absolute cutting edge version of them.
I'd disagree with you saying they're "crap".

Master Bra'tac beat Apophis in a game of chess. Using Mr Bun the Baker.

When Master Bra'tac fell from above and failed to learn to fly on the way down, Hannor Mir still became a street pizza.

I dont mean the gates were crap. I didnt actually download anything because I thought it was a scam site that someone had set-up to mess with people.

Revision 12 doesn't work, it's complaining that it can't load due to the orbital gates not being existant any more. It's also not creating DHDs.
Did you remove the orbital class when you were playing around with those rvmats?

We've not tested in ArmA I for a while.
As I just said though, the latest revision seems to not work at the moment

Reason being i have'nt uploaded the revised model configs yet, you'll need them for revision 12+ to work.

And more than likely people won't be able to set up this prealpha well enough for it to run; don't worry your not missing much atm.

The models were giving me the bad version 48 thing so I figured that the scripts worked because even if I didnt put a gate in to begin with it would still crash when it tried to spawn them, but the models dont work in ARMA 1.

I have been reliably informed that the PBOs are compiled for ArmA II only

Yeah revision 10 or 11 worked for me in ARMA 2 and based on what I saw in the little readme I thought I would try it in ARMA 1.

Yeah, don't worry about that. All it means is i need to binarize the models with ArmA's pbobin rather than ArmA II's.

If you all going to start monitoring the SVN then I'll try to update in at more regular intervals (prehaps a weekly thing?), please note that revision 12 won't work as I forgot to upload the latest model pbo's; you'll have to wait for r13.

With the SVN in mind, my plan is to break down the models and config pbo (similar to how i'm using a mission to rewrite the gate code) which then compiles once it finished downloading, this would stop people having to download 100mb files for 5kb changes. Though i'm not quite there yet so you'll have to bare with me...

SVN progress:
Works being focused on the DHD, it now handles custom gate addresses and can report the Stargates address back to the user (this means I can now work on the dial code), Mutiplayer works in one direction (Client to Server) but not the other due to a change needed in the DHD initilisation.

Its amazing seeing all the scripts involved in this. Hit one little key on the DHD and 6 different things run and then those things run 6 other things all just to light up the key on the DHD and it dosent even do anything to the gate yet. So many scripts to do just one or two things.
