Hello everyone,

I've decided to wait untill i've got a few new noob functions into the gates before i release them, your looking at a full mini mod type release involving selected addons.

I'm going to sort addons into two catagories, official and 3rd party; it sounds harsh but the mod needs to be standardised; DSF and the other developers as a group will only support the offical addons.

3rd party addons will only be supported by the person who made them.

Any developers who want an official label will need to send there addons over to me, i'll judge on overall quality and usablility; if they don't meet the mark needed then i'll offer some feedback and assistance if possible.

Good luck all and watch this space for the release.

ITER was originally an acronym for International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor, but that title was dropped due to the negative popular connotation of "thermonuclear", especially when in conjunction with "experimental".

Hi all,

The next version of the gates is ready for beta testing, so i've decided to open up a competition.

Heres the rules, its a screenshot competition:

* You can enter as many images as you like and the screenshots have to be stargate related.

* The top 5 users will recieve the StarGate RC1 addon for testing (including StarGates, Rings, SG Units and SG UI).

* Once one entry has been chosen all others from the user will be disregarded.

* Sign your entries somehow (watermark, signature, etc)

The images must be posted on the stargateassault.net gallery which can be found here (you will be required to join the forums before you can upload).

Heres a few links to help you:

StarGate Ships Alpha Release

StarGates Mission Makers Release

StarGate Units Alpha Release

StarGate Pyramid Release

Feel free to link to the images throught this forum but do remember to watch your image file size.

Best of luck

** Edit **

Oh, i forgot; deadlines the 12th May.

Cool, would love to take part now I've got Arma working again. Only thing is that I don't understand how to set custom addresses to the gates. So if someone could PM me with a detailed guide on how to create a mission with 2 gates that have user-defined addresses that would be fantastic.

I see how it works now, it's surprisingly easy now I understand. One final question, once this line has been added to the first gate [this,"firstisland",[19,22,7,24,6,35],1,false,"0 setfog 0"] exec "\DSF_SG_DHD\sqs\CreateIdentity.sqs" of course with  different address numbers (which I can't find the fixed dhd.jpg for), do I need to change the "firstisland"?

Now that it works I can finally create some missions, I just wish I could make stuff look as good as frostman made on his mission test videos on youtube.
