Tollan stargate was only visible in 1 episode right?
sg-1 stargate is a classic but the atlantic gate is nicer
but how would they manual dial the atlantic gate when there's no dhd/puddle jumper near xD?

The Atlantis gate is pretty tech-cool, so I'll go with that one. But the SG1 gate is also pretty cool, rusty, but powerful. Smiley

I think for imagionations sake there's a control panel in the back or side of the gate that lets you control it. But there's still the issue of power, but as Carter theorized each gate can dial at least once with stored power in case no DHD/power source. grin laugh laugh smiley

I like the classic's Milkyway Gates for me.

Yeah, I noticed it too... I thought at first it might be me getting bad image issues, but then I realised when I always saw that effect in closeups. I think it's because that part of the prop being too thin, and would probably happen in the SG1 gate if it happened to have lit up glyphs. Or maybe it is because the Atlantis gate is made of rubber and the SG1 gate is made of hard plastic.

PS.: One day!!!!!!!

No no, the translusence was just in the show, not in the game... actually, I doubt BXBX would have considered it of any use, it's the most logical thing to just make it solid.

I thought they made it translucent on purpose so you can see the symbols under the chevrons while dialing, if it is a mistake its a pretty helpful one.

Helpful it is, though probably just a mistake or unwanted effect, since I haven't noticed the effect on the 3D rendered gates used in offworld locations.
