STARGATE ATLANTIS CANCELED (real deal)
« on: August 22, 2008, 07:34:37 am »

Sad, but true, confirmed by several websites, and now by an entry in Joe Mallozzi's blog as well.

http://josephmallozzi.wordpress.com/

I even felt like writing a comment, and show some support.

Now that it's over, it seems like episode 20 of Season 5 will not end in a cliffhanger, but still, a movie will be made, and there's talk that Stargate Universe (3rd spin-off) will be coming this fall. We'll see what the future holds in that regard.

Cheers

SG:U has a go!! tho i dont like the sound of the plot too much, sounds stupid!

Didnt realised that SG:A had been cancelled till halfway through the article i was reading about SG:U dam im upset, things were just getting good too.

Rumour is that the last episode will have a "So whats next?" feel to it. much like Full Circle did.

oh and maybe 1 movie of each SG + SG:A a year.

Yeah, some SciFi Channel guy, named Howe, said that they wanted to target SG-U at a younger population, by using younger characters and making it more "dramatic" (space opera ala "Battlestar Galactica", which BTW, some of my friends said they loved it because there was a lot of sex and hot girls, lol). This "younger" thing reminds me of episode 200th of SG1, of the "teen SG1" gag. That can't be good.

About Season 5 finale, Joe Mallozzi says that the season won't end in cliffhanger, but still they'll do the movie.

I think there won't be stargates... they said they'd spend a lot of time in an Ancient ship, thus, replicating the BSG style.
And if there are stargates around, they'll be pink, lol.

SPOILERS!!!

well the main plot derives form the 9th chevron, it doesnt use time travel or interdimesional stuff, it takes you to the ship the ancient built to disperse the stargates across the galaxy. So im assuming the SGC find this out gate to the ship and get stuck. and somehow this ship travels through the universe. Im thinking through some sort of advanced jump technology.

so is this ship still dispercing stargates across the universe? are they different in every galaxy or is pegasus just a exception? If they cant stay in the same place for two long how will there be overall story arcs? P.S. this ship must be MASSIVE! i think instead of ship its more like space station that has a jump drive. This series just sounds bizzar!

Think about the whole "younger vibe" thing... they're going to feed us a latin soap-opera!! lol
