The Installer keeps making me update almost everytime I run it. Also I keep getting errors and crashes that say its improperly formatted and others, but then when I run it again it works fine.

very weird indeed... i have done a couple updates don't know of that had anything to do with it. Also are u running it from the webpage everytime or from the start menu programs shortcut when u get the errors? Hopefully we will get to the bottom of this!!

I have been running it from the start menu since I got it off the forum. I dont know if you just did an update, but I just had to update it again.

Heres something to try for the ones who are having trouble with it from the web page install for now.

Update:

 Changed the automatic update check to check when u close the program and update next time. Seems to be better that way. If you cant run the program right now from a previous version you will need to reinstall it from the webpage.

Update:

-Added SgMod Addons/Updates Tab (First step towards full auto update)
     -Under that tab you select where ur sgmod addons are located.
     -Determines what addons you have and dont have and gives a link to the forum corresponding to that addon.
     -Full addon list will be added shortly. (Launcher/Update Program does not need to be updated when the addon list is updated.)

Some things working on for the next release...


-Dev Tab: Delete Arma 1/2 report buttons and option to automatically delete old arma 1/2  report on start up.

-New Missions tab, which you will be able to browse mission folders and right click on them to delete or to have the mission directly loaded to the editor on start.

oh lol didnt notice that there is a stargate mod launcher at all... i'm out of date.. cant play arma since a half year or so...need to get a new computer xD

i have been working at finding everything i needed to join in the tests on this mod and when i saw this i got very excited.
i ran it and downloaded the 4 things it told me to update and they  show now as i have them in the updater but im guessing these r just small add ons from the names and not the main bulk of the mod.
im a old modder from many other games arma II i havent modded much in the time i owned it but im reading  lot on its modding ect and i very much want to take part in this mod via beta tests or a finished release .
are the svn versions the only works available for us atm?.
would anyone be willing to pm me a quick run down on the needed files to have in order to run the mod at its current state after that im quite certain i can grab any other add ons i want without help

Yeah theres defintely more then 4 addons. Launcher is a pretty new work in progress didnt add/test eveything yet.

Your inquiry though made me just update the list of addons for the launcher with mostly everything so check it out again!

are the svn versions the only works available for us atm?

For the gates yes.

awsome today i came home and tried the launcher tons of stuff  i needed to grab showed up and i hit them all
i am however showing problems with 4 of them

1. worlds_island_ice_sgcislands_marker
this file seems to come in the pack  that was just updated worlds beta but the launcher doesnt recognize i have it but it shows the others it came with ?
2.asteroid_field_space_map
i downloaded this and put it in the folder but it does not seem to recognize that i have it
3.stargates
 i clicked the .bat made the .pbo's and moved the 3 into my stargate addons folder but the launcher doesnt recognize that i have them i put the missions into the proper folder as the read me told me to also the download  i had a bit of confusion downloading stargates from the link on its page but someone posted a link later on the page i used that it was ..http://armastargatemod.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/armastargatemod/?view=tar
4.zatarc ring
there seems to be no link on the page to download this only some screenshots and a movie.

if i can figure out these few issues here i think i will be good to start poking around in game

hopefully trying this out and giving the info can help get it ironed out

edit.
i moved the stargates mission folder into my game directory mission folder and was able to launch the stargate mission once i was in i had the small base with 2 stargates and 3 dhds though the stargates had no ramp or stairs thought it looked kinda funny but the dhd worked up to the 6 chevs as stated so it all seemd to work
so from that i assume i have the stargates files but the launcher doesnt see it properly perhaps the astroid one is the same thing as well as the world_sgcislands_ice_marker one

Glad to see you are moving right along!

Thanks for the needed input! Once i make some adjustments ill let you know to verify!


But for the quick down low:

Stargates are always changing so that not a set addon to verify yet. Ill have the launcher show that in some way.

Zatarc ring isnt released yet. "Ill have the launcher maybe say like soon to be released" or something.

worlds_islands_markers and asteroid map seem to be typos on my behalf.


No worries though. None of those will effect the mod or launcher.

Expect an update soon

Heres another release for you guys.  Disabled the ms auto update since it caused too many problems. SO check back for updates on here for now!
