Core i7's are good cpu's with good overclocking potential so thats good.
Rams really depends on its speed and timings, once you get above 4gb you woun't notice much difference in normal day today tasks.
2x ATI Radeon HD5850 in crossfire will be expensive so make sure you actually running a resolution where this much's horsepower is needed.
PSU sounds good but again remember that you need to get a decent one else you'll just end up blowing all you shiny new hardware.
Liquid Cooling, how much do you know about liquid cooling? It can be very trick you get working and limits your ability to upgrade in the future (though its so worth it lol).

ITER was originally an acronym for International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor, but that title was dropped due to the negative popular connotation of "thermonuclear", especially when in conjunction with "experimental".

Well I'm not putting it together myself. Im doing it with a website I just selected what I wanted and they will put it together. Would this set-up be good for games like obviously ARMA 1/2 and others with similar requirements?

Oh yeah, from the basic description you've given it'll run any game currently out with ease.

Would I be right in thinking that after the watercooling system has been shipped, you will still need to work it in?
If they ship it full, you'll have to get the air bubbles out.
If they ship it empty, you'll have to fill it and work the (fewer) air bubbles out.

Master Bra'tac beat Apophis in a game of chess. Using Mr Bun the Baker.

When Master Bra'tac fell from above and failed to learn to fly on the way down, Hannor Mir still became a street pizza.

There's no need for water cooling with an i7 imo.

I have an i7 920 oc'd @ 3.40 with an arctic cooler and it never struggles with any of the latest games. I personally would spend that extra money on a SSD drive as that will help boost your performance in arma 2.

I already have an 80gb SSD. Frostman the ram is DDR3 1600 and I understand that to be good, but Im not really sure. I also have a 1.5TB HDD. I have a friend who knows alot more about this stuff than I do and he's going to help me set it up.

Make sure you install ARMA 2 on your SSD and have it in RAID0 Configuration as A2 Accesses your harddrive ALOT during gameplay. This setup will save you alot of lagg compared to installing on your 1.5tb disk drive ;)

More info below for anyone who is interested :)
