Where does feature inspiration come from?
Watching Stargate episodes and going "That'd be cool"

Implementation ideas?
Pen and paper flow diagrams and pseudo-code.

Coffee also helps this process.

Master Bra'tac beat Apophis in a game of chess. Using Mr Bun the Baker.

When Master Bra'tac fell from above and failed to learn to fly on the way down, Hannor Mir still became a street pizza.

Quite accurate.

Inspiration also comes from playing around with 'old' stuff.

Watching stuff and thinking "this would be cool" works for me too. Although there are more "this would be cool" situations than my mod work as there is simply a lot, maybe too much cool stuff you could implement.

I'm not for coffee or paper stuff though, the only time I drafted something on paper was for the layout of a mission. And I like to drink green tea.

I get headaches from coffee  Facepalm .

It just came to my mind that sitting on the toilet is a great source of inspiration, too.
