Hi, I found this website awhile back, but could never use the available mods due to the fact that I didn't own arma or arma II. Now I do, and let me first say, that from what I have tried so far (even without the stargate) I love it, you guys have done a great job.

Even though it's great even without the stargate, I would still like to get the stargate mod, and I was just wondering if there is a release, even an unstable one. (as long you can dial the gate and go from one gate to the other) that could be used by someone with average technical skills. Thank you!

well, apperantly I have a new problem now. In the editor, I used to have a unit side called 'empty' from which I could place things like ammo boxes, ring teleporters etc. I installed the 'worlds' map and now it seems to be gone. Not sure what happened.

The ARMA 2 gate dosent really work at all right now. About all it will do is light up and make sounds. Heres the SVN if you want to play around with it though.

Empty wont show up untill you place a unit and set it as player. The rings should be under Empty-Stargate MOD.

lol, wow, I failed. I never made that connection. But yeah, I've used the rings, just never realized you had to place a player first. Thanks for the help!

That's a VERY common mistake.
Even worse after you delete Player to make them something else.

You can place down an empty before you place player, you just have to select it to be Not Playable.
Otherwise you'd have a house as a player.
You can't preview the mission until you have a Player though, and a Playable just isn't good enough.
(I know this used to be the case in OFP at least, I can't understand why they'd change the logic)

Master Bra'tac, however, can play in a mission with no Player set - the game daren't question him. There is no fun in this though as the AI daren't shoot at him either

Master Bra'tac beat Apophis in a game of chess. Using Mr Bun the Baker.

When Master Bra'tac fell from above and failed to learn to fly on the way down, Hannor Mir still became a street pizza.
