Yes there is a simple way, add a new trigger, set it to be activated by alpha (set it to repeatly if you want people to change it) and put this into the activation line:
skiptime [hours], e.g. "skiptime 8"

Then, if you're a group leader or allone, you can skip the time by using 0-0-1.

That's ofcourse not very atmospheric, I would add the skiptime by a useraction added to e.g. a tent (to simulate sleep) followed by a short blackout and blackin to not switch the time in an instant, if you want I can make up such a script on the weekend.

Or you can use setacctime to speed it up. A trick we've used in the past is to skiptime and then use setacctime to smooth it out

Master Bra'tac beat Apophis in a game of chess. Using Mr Bun the Baker.

When Master Bra'tac fell from above and failed to learn to fly on the way down, Hannor Mir still became a street pizza.

Is it very complicated to have the time compressed like it is in those RPG gamemodes?

With the dramatic sunrise.

Anyway, the point there was that that was a quite small script.
It's using SkipTime to do the massive changes, and SetAccTime to increase the physical speed in order to reduce jumping.

you are not thinking about releasing this script?^^

anyway gonna try that skiptime stuff this evening.thx alot!

EDIT:
i tried it out but its well not really smooth..........
i tried also with setacctime..........

setacctime 0.1 (to slow it);skiptime 7;setacctime 1(to recover normal speed)

also tried:

setacctime 0.1 (to slow it);skiptime 0.5;skiptime 0.5;skiptime 0.5;skiptime 0.5;skiptime 0.5;skiptime 0.5;setacctime 1(to recover normal speed)

but its never looking so smooth and beautiful like you have it

Didn't see the edit, sorry.
If memory serves, you setacctime up, not down, to make the transition faster thus smoother.
