Here is why where having to update the gates for StarGate:CE,

The 1.3 gate doesn't have the logical in built into it to handle AI swarm.

ITER was originally an acronym for International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor, but that title was dropped due to the negative popular connotation of "thermonuclear", especially when in conjunction with "experimental".

There are either 7 or 8 AIs all trying to dial out there.

Is there not going to be a problem with go'uld travelling across islands because on the series they fly everywhere but that would give them a serious advantage over earth forces who would need to use land vehicles?

and are MBT's going to be available to the humans or just small vehicles like jeeps and humvees?

as far as i been told im not sure about MBT. earth froces will have to preapare themselves with AA units to battle gliders. or take deadlus along with them.

or prometheus deploying 302's from orbit.

The soldiers will be playable outside of SGCE
The Anubis gatekiller will be playable outside of SGCE
Some of the inner workings of the gate exposed to SGCE will be accessable outside of SGCE

There's nothing really that only exists within SGCE

They'll all also work single player, but stuff like the gatekiller will be fairly pointless.

Not so pointless... would do very well for individual amusement, eye-candy, that stuff. :)

So you dial a gate, press a button and see a wormhole stay open longer than it should and then disengage?

Or have an AI do that, so you see a wormhole engage, stay open too long, and then nuke you?
