Well, the most productive side of it would be pic-making and video-making, but hey, those ways you mention are quite interesting too. (I'm a geek, being Stargate, it would look interesting for me) :P

how would you stop it though.

use a alkesh or deadlus to get to the other planet then stop it? or destroy your own gate?

At the moment it's there as an inescapable WMD.
Since it is one of the few things that WILL destroy a gate, once it's done it's thing, the gate will be undialable, and the base on that world unusable.

FrostMan's helped me make a Mk9 nuke gate buster that will be able to destroy the gate, can use that on the anubis gate killer.

But...
The mark 9 didn't destroy the gate!

Also, the mark 9 he made does not prevent a gate from working, worryingly enough.

I've changed the code, so it should disable the gate now.

the stargate survived because the Prior allowed it to survive the blast he had his hand on the stargate.

frosty said that the gate 1.3 cannot be destroyed but hell do the 1.4 so that it can.

There are 3 things that destroy Stargates.
1) Black holes
2) Being dumped into a star
3) An ancient device designed to blow them up, presumably for plague control or something along those lines (The Anubis gatekiller)

I can't get near the gate at the moment,
I'm using a DSF Nuke to destroy the other gate, waiting a while and flying a chopper in.
The remaining radiation particles, and other stuff left at ground zero make OFP die.
From what I can see, the stairs die, the octagonal fake gate stands at a funny angle and looks crumpled, but the gate looks intact.

I would let you guys have a play with it, but it will not work on 1.3 or older.

...Big old naquada bombs can blow up stargates...

They're arent indestructable.

Humans just have a hard time doing it, and not blowing up most of the US at the same time.

Look it up

For those of us hard of understanding, there are only 3 things that we have seen that can destroy a stargate.

Yes, we can use conjecture and say "Well, X might be able to, Y should, Z could have if this didn't happen..."
Fine.
If Barney the dinosaur steps through the gate, it will destroy it.
I've never seen it happen, it's not likely to be shown...
But, by using conjecture, I'll say that if it were to happen, that would be the case.

I thought i'd give you all an update on SG:CE, the codings going well, the AI codes almost 60% complete and were now working on gameplay code.

The 1.4 gate is also progressing as CE developes, its a big a change as 1.2 was from 1.1.

We should have some trailers for both addons out soon.

ITER was originally an acronym for International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor, but that title was dropped due to the negative popular connotation of "thermonuclear", especially when in conjunction with "experimental".
