Hey,

with BXBXs (http://bxbx.atrey.vdsoft.org/) permission I ported over his great Stargate Command Center from OFP.

In addition to solving texture dependencies I replaced some of the textures with higher resolution ones, e.g. some of the wall textures went up from 128x128 pixel to 512x512, 1024x1024 and 2048x2048 pixel.

I also added normalmaps to some of the objects/walls.

I included an example mission where you start in the base and have to kill some Jaffa. The AI killed me more times than I expected in that one.


Current Issues:

- There's still some textures I would like to replace (pipes, wall segments)
- Closing of doors etc. doesn't work yet added in latest version


Note:
Due to ArmA2s/OAs retarded (indoor) lightning system, bright objects will literally light up when playing with higher post-processing settings. To counter that, I lowered the brightness to 0.5 and left the gamma at 1.0 which worked fine for me.

I was on the forum since 1month, but when i have seen the SGC, all i've just wanted to do was register, login into my new account, and say thanks you, I just love the arma 2 SG mod and especially the SGC base

are you atleast going to make a real sgc out of this? with more rooms and stuff? and a bigger place for the stargate cause of the new size in the next release? anyway nice so far! thx^^

OMG your a LEDG!

Cant wait to try it out, really want a coop mission/pvp and a server up with all this, even if stargates are just for decoration atm.

Just watched some classic stargate! really really want someone to make the super soldier, and make him REALLY HARD to kill, so can make a mission in SGC where he just walks around killing everyone and you have to kill him, like that episode of Stargate "game" i think where they make the virtual training program, and teal'c gets stuck!

How many projects are open on your Worktable now?


I wonder why you dont correct the Editor-Icon so it shows correct adjustment, i does it for me an i think its even nicer for all to have!

Nice work, cheers, will try it out, i had some hilarious issues trying to place stuff, (stargate was placed wrong way round first, didnt realise for ages!

My pleasure, allthough it was BXBX who did the hard work. I think he spent more than the 5 hours I did for porting and updating this.

Haha, true.  :smilie: I can spent hours shooting Jaffa there (or get shot). BXBX really did a awesome job on the detail.

Its not exactly the right resolution for placing Units on Icon but it looks better.

I buy a new worktable every week... well I once started porting the SGC but I didn't had permission at that time so it kind of got lost. The changed paa is fine, do you mind if I put it into the pbo?

By all means use the video and the screen shots for what ever you like, there made in honor of your SGC lol.

Really good job, am i wrong in thinking that if this is possible, then Atlantis is? And maybe even the destiny (static)? (not that im implying you should do them, but im just saying)
